Luang Phor Sod History : ( please email for more info. ) He was born October 10, 1884. He died at the age of seventy-five, on February 3,1959. His life should serve to remind other people to pursue carefully their own obligations to the Noble Path. The manner in which Luang Phor Sod regulated his days, was as follows: · Leading the monks and novices twice a day, morning and evening, in paying homage to the Triple Gem in the Uposatha (Buddhist Church), and ending with a sermon. · Sermons were delivered to the public at large on each full moon, quarter moon, and on Sundays · Meditation practices both night and day with the monks and the nuns in separate sections. · Every Thursday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon a meditation class open to the public. · Supervising the Pali Institute where qualified teachers taught the scriptures. At present, Wat Paknam is still a centre of meditation practice. Vijja Dhammakaya is the main teaching along with related materials from the Tipitaka.
